The latest Bose Sport Earbuds Truly Wireless are sleeker and smaller than the QuietComfort buds, and have superior microphones for calls. They're also sweat-proof and come with a charging case.

Active Noise Cancellation

The Bose QuietComfort line is known for its excellent noise cancellation but the company also makes plenty of high-quality headphones and earbuds that do not require or offer it. Its products typically occupy the premium end of the market and are made of premium materials however, they're also light, sweat-resistant and comfortable enough to last for long listening sessions.

The flagship 700s are a great example of this. They come with an upgraded eight-microphone system (six to cancel the sound, and two to pick up voice) and 11 custom ANC modes that allow you to hear the world or block it completely. They also have a "Conversation Mode" button that lets you temporarily pause your music to make an emergency call or make a brief announcement.

Bose TruSleeve is another excellent feature. It's a removable cover that wraps around your neck and rests on top of your ear to cut down on noise when you're out and about. It's available for all QuietComfort products and can be customised using the app to match your ears and lifestyle.

When comparing the 700s to our top choice, Sony WH1000XM5, they come with an improved microphone for phone calls. This makes them an excellent option for those who regularly take calls and want to be heard clearly traveling.

The headphones can be connected to your mobile device using Bluetooth 4.2 and waterproof Bose's proprietary A2DP protocol. Sound Quality

The only issue is that they don't support the latest Bluetooth codecs, like aptX Adaptive or LDAC, which would enable lossless playback.

The Bose Sport Earbuds have a more compact, sleeker design than the QuietComfort Earbuds that are the brand's flagship product. They are perfect for working out and running. They offer an up to five-hour battery time, which is sufficient to last through most workout sessions. The buds feature a built in microphone and are waterproof. You can control the buds via the remote included or the companion app. The app can be used to alter the settings for ANC and Bose's Aware Mode.

Controls

Unlike the majority of Bose headphones, the 700s don't have physical controls on their earcups. You'll find an electronic touch panel on the right earcup, which can be used to swipe and tap your finger. Tap twice to play or pausing and swipe up to increase the volume, down to lower it, and forward to skip tracks. A single tap answers calls, and a double-tap rejects incoming call.

The app could require you to provide your personal information but this is to be expected. It's also where you configure your Bluetooth connectivity preferences, and it also has a a helpful battery reading function which lets you know how much battery is remaining in your headphones. Once connected, you can select an option to create a profile and find your headset.

Design

Bose is known for its comfortable headphones, and the majority of their models do a great job at keeping the listener's ears safe from ambient noise.
